Cabin Fever

Burrrrrrr it is so cold outside!!  Today was supposed to be our first day back to school for Zeke and I.  However the temperature was at a record low this morning (-2, I believe?) breaking a 100 year record.  So due to the low temperatures we had a snow day.  Zeke and I have been pretty bored.  We don't typically get out and about in super cold weather so we just hang low at home.  We decided to boil water and take it outside to throw it up in the air and watch it evaporate.  Zeke thought this was super cool.  I can't even count how many times we came in to boil more water so that we could do it again and again.  As long as he was having fun I was going to keep doing it.  We spent the rest of the day building Lego's, playing games, and snuggling on the couch watching t.v.  I love that he is still little enough to where he wants to cuddle with me...and it be his idea!  The most exciting thing he was able to do today was to Skype with his friend Hunter.  Hunter moved to the UAE a couple of months ago.  We have only been able to talk to him once since he has been there and today Zeke received a surprise Skype from him.  They were so cute.  They were talking about what they have been up to, what they did for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years.  Zeke asked him all about camels.  Then they started playing Lego's together...well not together...but online with each other.  It was so fun to see!  Zeke misses him very much and I was very happy to be able to see them enjoying each others company.  :)  We can't wait to see them this summer when they get to come home for a little while.  Well I better get to bed.  Tomorrow is our first day back to school and I actually have to set an alarm.  Eek.

Tooth, Soccer, & OU

Wow! What an exciting day!!! We started the day off with a play date so Zeke and Hudson could hangout together. We went to the Children's Museum Discovery Lab. It was pretty cool. The boys' favorite part was the packing tape slide! Shae and I even climbed in it and gave it a try. Pretty neat!!

Zeke has had his second tooth loose for quite sometime. Today at the museum the boys were wrestling around with each other. Arms and legs were going wild as the boys were playing around which led to Hudson kind of punching Zeke in the mouth. He immediately stopped playing knowing his tooth was just barely hanging on. So he reached his hand in his mouth and pulled it out. He was so excited!!

After we left the museum we made a quick stop at Mac's Soccer Shack. Zeke has decided he doesn't want to play t-ball anymore so we are going to try out soccer (boo). I'm not much of a soccer fan but will happily support anything he wants to try. We made sure we ordered the correct size uniform, picked up some shin guards and a size 3 ball for him to practice with at home.

Tonight we went to Nana and Papa's house to watch OU play Alabama in the Sugar Bowl. Holy moly - what a game!!! I was yelling and biting my nails the entire game. I have no voice...and no nails left but I don't care because we won!!!! WooHoo!!

When we came home tonight Zeke climbed into his bed and put his tooth under his pillow anticipating the Tooth Fairy tonight. I love seeing how excited he gets!!! I better get to bed soon so she can make her way here. Nighty night!!

Happy New Year!

Ok...so it's been forever since I have made a post. I hate that because we had so many fun experiences in 2013. I will try to write a 'catch up' blog at a later date. As I was thinking about what I wanted to do this year I knew immediately that I want to try my best and stay current with my blog. Mainly so I have documentation of the fun and exciting things Zeke and I experience. I think it would be neat to share with him once he's older. So here is my first attempt at trying to do that!! I would like to start by saying HAPPY NEW YEAR!! I hope this year brings everyone much joy and happiness!!

Zekey was able to spend New Years with his daddy this year so here is a picture he sent me from their party. Enjoy!!
